Graphite on paper, cut and assembled panels

This series is a study on eyes — how something as small and specific as an eye can evoke instant recognition. Each panel isolates a different subject’s gaze, drawn individually and later assembled into a single composition. Created in high school as part of an independent study, this piece explores the power of partial portraits. When exhibited, viewers were often able to identify the subjects from the eyes alone, underscoring the emotional weight and familiarity held in this small but expressive facial feature.
