Playing God came from the realization that working in Procreate sometimes felt like exactly that: playing God. Unlike the charcoal and analog mediums I was used to, digital art gave me seemingly infinite control. I could erase and restore, alter colors numerically, rearrange entire layers, and undo decisions at will.
The hand hovering above the landscape represents that role. I intentionally blurred and smudged it to reflect the abstract nature of creation, surrounding it with expressive marks as though the scene were actively being constructed.
In the foreground, a man stands with half his face obscured by a white lily. The flower softens the composition and adds to the quieter, contemplative feeling I wanted the landscape to hold.
