DSL was one of the first pieces where I began working extensively across multiple layers and zooming in at the pixel level. Avoiding automatic blending forced me to pay closer attention to color, undertones, edges, and the small surface details that make an image feel real. It became a turning point in how I approached detail and digital rendering.
The title is a playful nod to DSLR cameras and image resolution. I later printed the work at 27 × 40 inches on foam board.
